Cold Christmas Goats
As it’s ‘the most wonderful time of the year’ nearly, I am putting ‘Christmas’ in front of everything. These cold Christmas goats are at my local farm shop – not for eating you understand but for viewing pleasure and delight. I love goats. I love their little noises. I love […]
Lovely Christmas Shop Fronts
Here are a couple of delicious shop fronts. Love The White Company chandelier!
Victoria Quarter, Leeds
I did some window shopping at the Victoria Quarter in Leeds this week. With the main objective being ‘window shopping’ I really got to appreciate some beautiful architecture and the Christmas decorations.
Cath Kidston Part Two
The Leeds store, I think, is quite big and at the bottom it’s like going back in time. It is full of 80’s nostalgia. Actual, real, 80’s bits and pieces mixed with CK items. I used to love the painted/printed milk bottles and when they used to come with the milkman […]
Christmas At Cath Kidston, Leeds
No matter when I pop into a Cath Kidston shop, I can be sure that I am walking around going ‘ooh, I love that’ with a little grin on my face. The pink Christmas tree does work in the Leeds shop, they can definitely get away with it! I would not want […]
Busy as an Elf
In this exciting run up to Christmas I am like an elf, busy constructing and making gifts to sell and send out to new homes. This is a little, tiny, very small peek at a piece I made recently.
The Handmade Christmas Decoration Exchange
There is a lovely online craft magazine called The Craft Tonic (great name) and the editor Emma had a great idea to spread Christmas happiness! She organised a Handmade Christmas Decoration Exchange. Here is an image of the one I sent out to Jude in Devon and the one I […]
Guy Fawkes Night
Last night we celebrated Bonfire Night at church (ALM). The fireworks were pretty spectacular and my little iphone picked up some great moments. I wonder what Guy Fawkes would have to say about us making a big deal of the fifth of November.
A Day Out and About
Had a lovely morning with a good friend. We decided to go to the local retail park and have a browse. Thinking about colour, I was completely overwhelmed by red in one particular store. It was rather lovely!
A Day in October
I am experimenting with collages currently and uploaded some photo’s taken on my iphone. Off to do more experimentation…
I am having a face-lift!
No, not me! But my site is going to be changed and made all lovely! Just thought you should know…:D
Featured on a Website – UK Handmade
Last week one of my little hoops was featured on a website UK Handmade. It’s great to get some encouragement sometimes as the web seems so big and me so little. Very encouraging! Thank YOU for stopping by! Lovely to have you here!
Felt
Today I am cutting and stitching felt. Will post the finished creation later. Hope you are having a great day. It’s windy and sunny here. My perfect type of weather.
A Blue Bird Outside
What a scorcher! It’s lovely and warm today and the grass (as you can see) is getting a little long! This typewriter is one of two that were given to me and this one works. I love that ‘click’ when you depress the keys. I saw a similar one recently […]
Old Railway Bridge
This old railway bridge seemed to lead somewhere exciting and unknown! It was getting late so I will walk over it another day.
Autumn Trees and a Golf Course
Have you ever found a little bit of solitude unexpectedly? I went for a walk in the suburb that I live in and found a treat! You can walk through the local golf course grounds as there is a public footpath. In the six years I have live here I never knew […]
