Sitting on my office shelf is a rusty, old Quality Street tin.
I have had it as long as I can remember and it used to live at my Nan’s house.
I opened it today. I was met with the rust smell but also the plastic smell from the little figures and cars that live inside.
Being a farmers grand-daughter I love most things ‘farmy’. So, I took out my lifelong favourite plastic animals and put them together – probably the first time in many decades.
I was amazed at the variety of animals that my Nan had collected for me and it made me smile.
Especially my personal favourite – the big red bear. I don’t remember ever questioning why he wouldn’t be in my farm scene!
After all, its completely normal for a cow to look rather perplexingly at a giant hare.
